How the assessment works

Each answer has a preparation score from 0 to 4. Question weights add up to 100%. Your total is the sum of each answer score divided by 4 and multiplied by its weight, then divided by 10. We show one decimal place; result bands use the unrounded total.

Follower count contributes 5% of the total. Relevant engagement, customer access and sales planning are considered separately. A larger budget improves the score but does not mean it fits every production route.

What does my score mean?

Score bandStarting point
8.5–10A well-prepared starting point for samples and a small production test.
7 to under 8.5Start after closing specific preparation gaps.
5 to under 7Run a small, controlled experiment.
3 to under 5Build the foundations before a large commitment.
Under 3Begin with product and customer exploration.

No product or customer definition, an unprepared sourcing route, limited cost understanding or a weak cash buffer also triggers a specific flag. Flags change the suggested action, without changing your score. The report shows up to three priorities; if more gaps are flagged, review the full flagged list as well.

Do I need lots of followers or a large budget?

Neither is a requirement to test a product. The assessment considers several routes, including mature private-label products, planned contract manufacturing, direct sales, distribution and low-cost offline channels. Relevant customers, affordable stock and confirmed supplier terms can support a smaller start.
